將已軋制成型產(chǎn)品通過(guò)輥道輸送進(jìn)入冷床，再由齒條步進(jìn)式拔齒等形式，將排列在冷床上的工件逐步移向冷床頂端，達(dá)到了工件的冷卻效果。

拉鋼式和往復(fù)多爪推齒式兩種冷床對(duì)于圓鋼都不太適用，容易拉斜、滾亂。冷卻圓鋼（管坯）以使用鏈?zhǔn)嚼浯草^好，上鋼一廠、大連鋼廠的650軋鋼車(chē)間都采用鏈?zhǔn)嚼浯?，兩者所不同之處在于：上鋼一廠的圓鋼擱在臺(tái)架上，鏈條拉著圓鋼緩慢前進(jìn)，由于圓鋼單重較大，一般不會(huì)亂滾。大連鋼廠的圓鋼直接擱在鏈條上，前進(jìn)過(guò)程中圓鋼與鏈條無(wú)相對(duì)運(yùn)動(dòng)。為適應(yīng)不同型號(hào)、不同厚度的角鋼，防傾翻裝置的上有一個(gè)可以隨時(shí)取放配重的斗殼，這樣就可以實(shí)現(xiàn)不同型號(hào)、不同厚度角鋼在裙板處穩(wěn)定下滑。兩種鏈?zhǔn)嚼浯彩褂脝挝环从扯驾^好。
