鋼的軋制，是整個軋鋼生產過程的核心。坯料通過軋制完成變形過程。軋制工序對產品質量起著決定性作用。軋制產品的質量要求，包括產品的幾何形狀和尺寸內部組織和性能以及產品光潔度三個方面。

The rolling of steel is the core of the whole rolling process. The blanks are rolled to complete the deformation process. The rolling process plays a decisive role in the quality of the product. 軋鋼原料：

目前主要為連鑄坯，另外還有鋼錠，段軋鋼等，正確的選擇坯料的種類，斷面形狀和尺寸大小以及重量對軋鋼生產具有重要意義。

軋輥的彈性壓扁沿輥身長度散布是不勻稱的，若邊部延伸率大。軋機支持輥的外貌肖氏硬度1樣平常為HS45左右，在另1側設專人觀察，也會出現(xiàn)相反的環(huán)境，薄鋼板通常以卷板和剪切成肯定長度和寬度的單張板投放市場。

橫軋成型的特點是：1.兩個工作軋輥軸線平行，其轉動方向相同； 2.軋件軸線與軋輥軸線平行，軋件作轉動，其轉動方向與軋輥相反，進出料需專門裝置。
